I was able to get the complaint file from the court and I wanted to share it with the rest of the fans. I will also continue to report the developments in this case. Scroll to the end of page for the complaint document.
Short summary:
The complaint mentions Radar Online articles from June 23rd to June 28th. The complaint states that 3t were the only nephews identified in the stories. 3T and Katherine Jackson are also the only Jackson family members mentioned by name in Radar Online stories. The main issue seems to be criminal conduct Radar Online attributed to 3T. They argue that when a reasonable person reads Radar Online stories, they would conclude that 3T were bribed to conceal MJ’s criminal activities from authorities. They give examples of international media reporting MJ molested his own nephews and silenced them with gifts.
3T deny all of the stories. They state none of them were sexually abused by MJ or had any sort of sexual contact with him. 3T states they did not resist any effort by detectives to inquire about MJ and none of them were spirited off to an island or were gifted a brand new car.
3T also has issues with Radar Online stating MJ used “sexy photos of his own nephews, who were in the band 3T, in their underwear to excite young boys”. 3T argues that readers will reasonable understand this to mean 3T aided and abetted criminal purposes. 3T states that there is no evidence or official detective report that said MJ in fact used the photos to excite young boys. 3T also states that the photos Radar presented as salacious and improper was actually a professional photo shoot for an album cover. Shooting of the photos was completely a business function and had nothing to do with luring young boys.
3T also complain about the headlines used by Radar Online that deliberately create false impressions. Such as the title of “new photos .. show depths of depravity” could make readers think that 3T was a part of “depths of depravity”.
Finally 3T complaint mentions Radar Online story about “members of Michael Jackson family who betrayed him , said MJ had fondness of pre-pubescent boys and how MJ exposed some of his family members to his sick fetishes”. 3T argue as they are the only few family members identified in Radar Online articles, readers will understand this family members mentioned to be 3T. 3T deny all of the claims. They say they never betrayed Michael and they always believed Michael to be innocent of the charges made against him.
As I posted earlier 3T sent a demand for correction letter to Radar on July 5th. On July 7th, Radar Online replied refusing to correct any of the assertions they made. (Click here for the letter) So 3T is suing for personal and professional damages of $35 million each – total damages over $100 Million.
